Dr. Kumar has been a practicing
veterinarian since 1996. He is a foreign veterinary
graduate and completed his final year of clinical studies
at Mississippi State University. His professional
interests extends to all areas of veterinary medicine. Dr. Kumar
treats all species including dogs, cats, exotic animals and birds.
His special interests includes orthopedic surgeries. Dr. Kumar has
completed Intensive Small Animal Orthopedic course at
Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.
He worked as veterinarian in state of Illinois and Wisconsin
from 1996 to 1999. He moved to California in 1999 and purchased La
Puente Pet Hospital in 2002. He is a member of American
Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital
Association and Southern California Veterinaary Medical
Association. He also worked as Research Associate
at NorthWestern University Medical School, Chicago,
Illinois from 1993-1996 and has more than 20 research
publications.
When not at work he spends much of his time with his wife,
two daughters, three dogs and two cats. His personal
interests include fishing and camping.
